Voyageur Market Access was born from a simple belief: breakthrough medical technologies only matter if people can actually access them. Steven has spent more than 25 years working at the intersection of innovation, policy, and real‑world healthcare delivery — and he’s seen firsthand how even the most promising devices can stall without the right evidence, strategy, and reimbursement pathways.
His journey started inside health systems at Allina Hospitals and Clinics and the Minnesota Medical Association, where he learned how care is delivered, how providers navigate policy, and how reimbursement decisions shape what patients ultimately receive. That early experience grounded his understanding of the system from the inside out.
Steven later joined Boston Scientific, eventually serving as Vice President of Health Economics & Market Access. There, he led global reimbursement and commercialization strategies across multiple therapeutic areas — from cardiac rhythm management and electrophysiology to implantable and wearable diagnostics, cardiac independent diagnostic testing facilities, and vascular interventions. He helped teams move from early evidence planning to global adoption, translating complex policy and payment challenges into clear, actionable strategies.
Over the years, Steven became known for guiding major technology launches, supporting acquisition decisions, shaping Medicare payment mechanisms, securing CPT and ICD‑10 codes, and building evidence and coverage strategies that helped innovative devices reach the patients who needed them.
